Guinea Fowl Cottage is located on the Highland Giants Estate in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. It's a pet-safe getaway for couples or families who want a break from the humdrum of city life.
The cottage comfortably sleeps six adults with 1 queen bed and 4 single beds. There is one bathroom on the property with a bath and a moon shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you'd rather braai, there are two braai options which is perfect for groups.
In the lounge, you can curl up in front of the fireplace on cold nights and watch the latest TV shows and movies on DSTV.
The front of the cottage features a fenced-off garden, which is deal for pet-owners who don't want their dogs to roam freely without supervision.

Mpumalanga is in the north-eastern region of South Africa, and it’s northern most side, borders on Mozambique.
When one thinks of Mpumalanga, you immediately think of Kruger National Park, Sabie and Skukuza – which it is most famous for. A landlocked province, but nonetheless not boring by any stretch of the imagination harbouring beautiful scenery and wildlife.
Mpumalanga has rolling grassland savannah and beautiful mountainous areas. The province’s iconic Blyde River Canyon, among the world’s largest, is known as a green canyon because of its subtropical foliage.
There is a section known as the Panorama Route, known for its scenic mountains, awe inspiring natural beauty and waterfalls. This entire section is also pet-friendly, except for Bourkes Luck Potholes! And if you’ve ever visited Bourkes Luck, you’ll understand why. It is the most massive natural potholes carved by water – which are even dangerous for humans! (except if you stay on the demarcated route of course).
Mpumalanaga therefore has only one classification in our book, and that is Mountain getaways. 🙂

Cast a fly in one of our 9 dams on the property or the 5 weirs in the river. Two fish per cottage per stay is allowed, and the rest is C.A.R. If you're new to fly fishing, pre-arranged tuition is available, and September is Guinea Fowl's Cottage best time of year for catching trout.
Other activities on the property include a mini-game trail. You will need a high-clearance vehicle and zebra, waterbuck, Springbok, oribi and hyenas are among some of the game you might see!
For something closer to the cottage, there are walking trails that will take you past waterfalls, and iron age settlements. There is also a challenging 10km mountain bike trail on the property.
