The Mexican Loft is a part of Blue Roan, a 4-star country lodge on the foothills of the Magaliesberg. It is one of seven self-catering holiday homes on the property, but they are private, serene, and perfect for a cosy weekend getaway with the dogs.

The Mexican Loft's Bright walls, quirky furnishings, and colourful mosaic tiles will make you feel as though you're staying in a cabin on the Mexican mountainside.

It is open plan and spacious, but comfortable and homey.

The dressing gowns and open plan spa bath (plus complimentary candles and bubble bath) add a touch of romance if you are celebrating something special or just need a romantic weekend away. There is a heater, electric blanket, and indoor log fireplace if you are thinking of a winter escape.

The kitchen is separate and fully equipped with all the necessities such as an oven, kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, and pots and pans. You won't need to bring anything but food. The bathroom is also separate and has a big walk-in shower and couples sinks. Soap, towels, toiletries, and toilet paper are provided.

For those perfect summer nights, there is a patio with built-in brick braai and comfortable outdoor furniture.

The patio looks out onto a fenced garden that the dogs will enjoy.

Beyond that is a communal swimming pool, thatched lapa, games room with a bar, and of course, endless views of the Magaliesberg mountains and peaceful countryside.
