The Tuscan is one of seven self-catering cottages that make up Blue Roan, a 4-star country lodge on the picturesque foothills of the Magaliesberg mountains. The property is large and the cottages are located far enough away from each other to offer space and privacy.
With its rustic brick walls, ornate tiles, and grand features such as a bed on a balustraded platform, The Tuscan offers up a slice of Italy in the Gauteng countryside.
The platformed bed is comfortable and overlooks the lounge – a cosy area with a settee and fireplace. Add wine and you’ve got the perfect spot for a winter escape in the mountains.
The lounge leads off to a bathroom and kitchen.
The bathroom is stylish with brick walls and mosaic tiles. There is a walk-in shower and a bath if you prefer to take things slow or add a dash of romance (bubble bath and candles are complimentary). Soap, toiletries, towels, and toilet paper are also provided.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable getaway – oven, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, and various other kitchen necessities. The kitchen bar counter looks out onto a dining area with a cute steel dining table set and sliding door that leads onto a patio/braai area and your own fenced garden.
Dogs can run wild in the garden and will enjoy the freedom of being able to stretch their legs.
There is also a communal rock swimming pool, thatched lapa, and games room with a bar.
