  First, the position of this accommodation is superb! Right on Paternoster beach, but at the very north end, so you’re away from the crowds. It’s compact, but is very well-equipped with all that two people could need for a weekend away. (Apart from the shower - which is modern and huge!) It is attached to the Main Zula Beach House, and if that were occupied by people intent on partying all night, it would be too close. While we there, owner Toni and her husband Alon were in residence. They were charming, helpful and very considerate. From a dog p.o.v., there are two things to consider. First, the fence is about 1.3 metres high. It’s very secure if your dog is a non-jumper. But if your dog jumps and is medium to big, you might have a problem. Second, the southern side of the property is a point of public access for the beach. Lots of people and their dogs pass by during early morning and early evening “walkies” time. If your dog gets irritated and likes to bark at other dogs, this might also be problematic. If your dog also happens to be jumper, you could have an incident, which, of course, no-one wants under any circumstances. Both Paternoster beaches are “leash-only”, but the beach to the north, right in front of Zula Beach Cottage, seems to be the one on which locals completely ignore this rule. We saw dozens of dogs frolicking off the leash, swimming, chasing balls, sticks…all the usual dog things. We rated our weekend at Zula Beach Cottage very highly and will definitely be back, with the dogs (a Scottie and a non-jumping Airedale).
