Piet-My-Vrou Cottage is one of eight unique country cottages that make up Saamrus Guest Farm, one of the best pet-friendly getaways in South Africa.
The first thing you will notice when you arrive at the cottage is the views. It is situated 'on the hill' and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
Inside, the cottage is open plan but cosy. The bedroom/lounge is furnished with a king-size bed (or two singles), two sitting chairs, a flat-screen television, and a log fireplace. Whether you want a summer getaway or winter escape, Piet-My-Vrou Cottage is ideal for either.
The kitchen is separate and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and hassle free stay, including a two-plate stove, kettle, toaster, and microwave. Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and cleaning supplies are also provided.
The bathroom is also separate and fitted with a shower, bath, and hand basin. All the essentials such as towels and toilet paper are provided. And if you need to add a dash of romance to your trip, bubble bath and candles are complimentary.
With its great views and outdoor facilities, you will undoubtedly be spending most of your time outside. The cottage has a spacious patio that offers a front row seat to breathtaking sunrises and dreamy sunsets. It also has its own braai area.
Beyond the cottage, there is a communal swimming pool and lush gardens that were made for peaceful morning meanders.
Note: Piet-My-Vrou Cottage is only accessible by 4x4 or walking.
